Privacy policy

The short version

There is no account, no sign-in and no server. The apps have no network code at all: they cannot upload, sync or phone home.

Everything they know lives on your PC, in the folder you can see and delete.

What each app reads

Each app reads the minimum it needs to do its one job. Nothing is read while the feature is switched off.

• ShowLine Photo — the file path of a photo you drag in. The image file itself is not copied.
• ShowLine Snap — file names in the screenshot folders you choose to watch, and images placed on the clipboard. It never captures the screen itself.
• ShowLine Clip — plain text on the clipboard while text support is on. Items marked as sensitive, or shaped like a password, are skipped before they are read.
• ShowLine Color — screen pixels only under the loupe, and only while the picker is open.
• ShowLine capture — the screen area you select, and only after you press the shortcut.

What stays on your PC

Settings live in a plain text file inside your local app data folder. There is no database and no cloud copy.

• Settings — display, motion, appearance and app options, per app
• Colour history — up to 24 colour values, in a local text file
• Clipboard notes — memory only by default; local memory is an opt-in that writes a text file you can delete at any time
• Photo cards — paths to your files, never copies of them

No network, no telemetry

None of the apps contains a network client. They do not check for updates by themselves, do not send diagnostics and do not include third-party analytics. The only network traffic related to ShowLine is the Microsoft Store handling your purchase and download.

Purchases and the Microsoft Store

ShowLine is distributed through the Microsoft Store, so the purchase is handled by Microsoft and is subject to the Microsoft privacy statement. We never see your payment details. If you ask for support by email, you choose what to include — please do not send screenshots of anything private.

Children

The apps are general-purpose desktop tools and are not directed at children. Because there is no account and no data collection, there is nothing specific to a child's data to manage.

Your choices and your data

Because nothing is collected on our side, there is no profile to access, correct or delete. Everything the apps store is a file on your PC; deleting the app's data folder removes it completely.

• Turn any source off in the settings window and it stops reading immediately
• Delete the local data folder to remove settings and history
• Uninstall the app to remove everything it wrote

Changes to this policy

If a future version ever needs to collect something new, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. The current version of the apps collects nothing.
